The Marquise Giacomo Cattaneo Adorno, was born in Italy but grew up until he was 18 years old in Rio de Janeiro – Brasil. Inside he’s a carioca ( named people borned in Rio de Janeiro). Giacomo spend his time between Brazil and Italy. He’s passionate about the friendly and positive atitude of the Brazilian people, indeed he misses the two caractheritics when he’s away.

The surf in Brazil also contribute to his love for the country. Giacomo and his son get a lot of fun enjoying the surf around the coast of Brazil. Surfing is one of the most popular sports in Rio de Janeiro.
In Italy, the Marquise works pursuing the family business and one of theses is an iheriteded vinery from the family castle, the “ Castello di Gabbiano” in Monferrato city in the noth of Italy.

The 27 Stars made a experience of wine tasting in the Piemonte Castle and figured out a lot of surprises like new smells that only the Piemonte area cans offer with forest, rose, fruit, Alpis pines. FAMOUS WINES FROM THE CASTLE
Rubino di Cantaverna DOC:
Since 1970, the wines are one of the best of the area of Monferrato. It is produced with selected grapes and with rich to the sun, with fragrance and flavours of exposure fruits which are typical of the area.
Adornes:
One really particular “Barbara d’Asti Reserva Superior” is made with withe special grapes named “ tiro o Volo”. There are from a small vineyard that has only 8.200 plants wich benefits from compost called Gravesac.
Castello:
A small production of Chardonay white, the grape arly planted in the north with winds direct from the Alpes. The wine is put inside little barrels to completed the fermentation in some shorts days and to be ready in 18 months to finish in.
Ruvo:
A special ‘Grianolino’, the most typical wine of Monferrado region is also found in the Gabiano area. His flavours include international taste, this is a red wine for happy hours, romantic meetings and fish dishes.
Gavius:
There are the Barbera quality and improved with the addiction of Pinot Noir, so is smooth and has a wonderful bouquet.
